Thermosyphon (non-pressurized) compact system
Thermosyphon compact systems work on the simple principle – it is a method of passive heat exchange, based on natural convection, which circulates a fluid without the necessity of a mechanical pump. Sunbeams and infra-red rays are absorbed by 95% and transformed into thermal energy when they hit the special light absorbent coating on the inside of the coaxial glass tubes.
The heat is stored inside the tube system and is transferred to the storage tank through a natural convection process. The vacuum between the tube layers ensures a high level of insulation, thanks to what the system doesn’t get cold even in harsh weather conditions, and the special coating on the tubes makes water heating possible even on days with little sunshine.
Each tube is made of two glass tubes with the outer one being transparent, and the internal tube is coated with a sunlight-absorbent coating. As a result of this coating and of the external glass tube thermal energy is created.
Arpi 30 has a capacity of 300 liters and generates 2.4 kW/hour. The power of one tube is 80 W/hour.
